Rutgers' linebacker room just got bigger ... and deeper.
Robinson has the dimension schools seek in off-the-ball linebackers these days. He boasts an 81-inch wing span — NFL metrics — runs a 4.6-second 40-yard dash, has been clocked as fast as 21 miles per hour, and projects as a terror in the Big Ten due to his knack to run and hit. He also plays with an edge and has the loudest voice in his locker room.
Rutgers has been in contact with Robinson for months and it finally paid off when he opted in during his exit interview on Wednesday morning. Rutgers evaluated Robinson throughout the spring evaluation period leading up to his visit - the sole trip he took besides one to UCF on June 2. Meanwhile, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Louisville, UAB, Florida A&M & USF also extended offers to the physical junior.
