First responders and students in the Greece Central School District participated in a school bus accident simulation on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023.
The goal of the crash simulation was to educate the community about the importance of being safe on the roads. “I know everyone's in a hurry,” said Ridge Road Fire District Batallion Chief Brian Gebo. “I know everyone's distracted, but stop for the red lights on a bus, stop for the stop sign on a bus, even us as firefighters if we're going to a call and we have our lights on, the school bus still wins. We have to stop and wait for the kids. So, if we gotta stop for them, you gotta stop for them.
