[GRAPHIC DETAILS] Police have arrested a 30-year-old man after the body of a woman, believed to be his girlfriend, was found inside a car in Midrand, Johannesburg earlier this month.
The suspect was arrested in KwaZulu-Natal at the weekend after a warrant of arrest was issued against him.
Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, says investigations showed that Rabalao was killed after which her body was put in the car and set alight. “On the 7th March 2023 at about 21h00, police received a call about a burning vehicle in Midrand. On their arrival, police found a Mecerdes Benz that was on fire. After the fire was extinguished, human remains were found in the front seat of the car. Police immediately conducted an investigatio and the deceased was identified as police always prioritise cases of gender-based violence.
