In an unrelated case, the Michigan teen is charged with criminal sexual conduct involving a minor.
Jordan Dow is accused of killing Lela Dow in the home the two shared on Forest Street.
The Wayne County Jail lists Jordan as an inmate and that he is being held on charges of second-degree murder along with felony firearm possession. Lela was found dead after police were called to the home Wednesday morning by a co-worker of hers who said Lela did not show up to work for her shift. River Rouge Police Deputy Chief Dasumo Mitchell told Fox 2 that Jordan is believed to be the last person to see her alive and was brought in for questioning.
Police say Jordan is cooperating with the investigation, and so far no evidence has turned up that the two had a negative relationship. Jordan is also being held on a tether violation related to a different criminal case where he is charged with criminal sexual conduct involving a minor.
