Alaska State Troopers are searching for a 69-year-old woman after finding a car abandoned almost seven miles up the Stampede Trail near Healy with her 2-year-old grandchild locked inside.said
. “From evidence at the scene it appears that the child and vehicle were abandoned two days earlier on July 12.” The child was taken to Healy before being placed in protective custody with the state Office of Children’s Services in what appeared to be good health, troopers said. But Mary Dawn Wilson, the last known person with the child, remains missing.
