CLEVELAND – A Cuyahoga County grand jury Thursday indicted a Bedford man on charges of killing his fiancée last month in a case that has drawn greater attention to domestic violence.
Michael O’Malley, the county prosecutor, said in a statement that Edwards called police at 11:40 p.m. Oct. 9 and said he had just killed Williams, 46. She lived on Sunset Drive, near Midway Avenue. “A thorough investigation and review of this case led us to the unmistakable conclusion that the death of Amanda Williams was an intentional homicide without justification,” O’Malley said.“I have to live the rest of my life knowing that I wasn’t there for my baby. She must have been terrified. I need some closure,” Georgia Williams said.
