KUALA LUMPUR: V. Sivakumar and his ministry’s officials are willing to cooperate with authorities in relation to the graft probe of his officers.

The Human Resources Minister also said that he had not been summoned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to have his statement recorded.

"Not yet, but if I am called, I am willing to give my statement," he told reporters after an event in conjunction with the Tamil Near Year.He said the anti-graft agency was simply carrying out their duties and responsibilities with the investigation, adding that it was his and his officers duty to cooperate.

"In principle, I support the implementation of the law based on justice and truth in the investigation," he added.The minister’s aide, believed to be holding the post of private secretary, was arrested on Friday morning after being summoned to the MACC headquarters for her statement to be recorded.On Wednesday , graft investigators arrested a senior officer along with a businessman in connection with the investigation involving the recruitment of foreign workers.
