Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister, Yeo Bee Yin. — BernamaThe government will hold an open tender exercise for companies interested in developing a waste-to-energy management systems for safer waste disposal in the country.

Yeo said the time had come for the country to modernise its waste management system and shift away from landfills to a better waste management solution “Malaysia needs a paradigm shift in terms of how we monitor our scheduled, as well as clinical, waste disposal. Malaysians need to be more responsible, and as a government, how can we better enforce,“ she said.
