SERDANG: A RM100mil allocation has been given to the Federal Land Development Authority to help subsidies additional operational costs following the rationalisation of diesel subsidies, says Datuk Seri Anway Ibrahim.
“Considering additional financial implications of RM121.mil for Felda due to the rise in diesel prices, the government will provide additional subsidies of around RM100mil to Felda to cover additional operational costs.Anwar said Felda settlers are always welcomed to discuss and negotiate issues with him and the government is always open to finding solutions.
At the same time, Anwar also announced an additional RM31.7mil allocation for 317 Felda settlements under the Sejahtera Komuniti Madani programme. Anwar also said Putrajaya will look into ways to assist Felda settlers who are still driving “kereta sapu” in settlements.
