Govt to continue improving people’s welfare despite high spending, debts

THE government remains committed in carrying out various initiatives and programmes for the welfare and wellbeing of the people despite the burden of debts and the huge cost involved in administrating the country. Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli said the government has limited reserves since the revenue of the government is only around RM300 billion a year while the government would need to spend a huge sum for giving out subsidy, administration cost and to pay interest on debts.
