Govt sets up committee to monitor cost of living

He said the committee was established on the instruction of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who has made the matter a priority. “During this period, several new approaches have been taken by him and his administration. One of his priorities is issue of the people’s cost of living.” On the reappointment of Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub as Felcra chairman, which was put on hold, Zahid said the matter was decided following discussions with all statutory bodies, government-related companies and other firms under the ministries and government agencies.
