VIENTIANE: The National Audit Department of Malaysia has reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with the Lao State Audit Organisation (SAO-Lao) to strengthen the management of the finances of the two countries.
PUTRAJAYA: The government intends to expand the Vehicle Entry Permit and Road Charge system at the Malaysia-Thailand border, says Anthony Loke .
He said that the government would not allocate any funding for the planned system, where development and operational costs would be borne entirely by the chosen private company. “As such, interested parties are advised to propose business ideas that will be evaluated by us,” he said during a press conference at the Transport Ministry office here on Tuesday .
Loke said that a briefing session between the ministry and interested parties will be held on June 24, adding that proposals can be submitted from July 1 to Sept 1.
