Govt aid not reaching us, says tourism association
A tourism group says much of the Covid-19 aid meant for the tourism industry is not reaching SMEs operating in the sector as banks have rejected most of their applications. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, October 16, 2020.
MALAYSIA Association Tour Agency has expressed concern that not much government aid has reached SMEs and micro-enterprises due to strict conditions imposed by banks. MATA president Mohd Khalid Harun said its members have complained that their applications for aid were rejected due to the very strict conditions imposed by the financial institutions.
