PUTRAJAYA: A head of a government agency has been arrested for allegedly accepting bribes in 2017.
The Datuk in his 40s is also alleged to have abused his position in relation to the appointment of a company to procure four vehicles five years ago.
The suspect was arrested when he was summoned to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters at around 8pm on Monday. According to sources, the procurement for the four vehicles in 2017 amounted to RM290,000 was for the use of the agency to carry out a programme. The suspect has been remanded for four days until Oct 21 after Magistrate Irza Zulailha Rohanuddin allowed an application by the MACC.Article type: free
