Ministers contact insurance companies with ‘first message’ of urging them to help business owners impacted by Storm Babet
The government is putting increasing pressure on insurance companies to help business owners whose premises were destroyed by floods during Storm Babet, the Business Post has learned.
It comes amid criticism of the industry over the lack of provisions for some homes and businesses in Midleton and other towns, who have been unable to get cover due to persistent flooding in recent years.
