The Arewa Peace and Development Initiative, APDI, has alleged that Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf and the national leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso, are plotting to cause violence in the state.
The group expressed concern that the face-off between the governor and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, is capable of causing chaos in the entire North.
recalls that Governor Abba Yusuf and Ganduje have been at loggerheads over alleged financial misappropriation in the last administration. Ganduje was on Tuesday suspended by APC in his Ward in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state. Reacting, Yakubu Dauda, the APDI convener, told journalists in Abuja on Tuesday that the plot to remove Ganduje from his position could cause security crisis in the state.
