Google is expanding the functionality of its AI mode. Users from over 180 countries will be able to book restaurant reservations with the AI.
Google is once again broadening its AI reach, as the company has just announced it will be upgrading its AI Mode in Search to receive new agentic features. Furthermore, folks in over 180 new countries - including Malaysia - will soon be able to enjoy this AI feature in their respective native tongues as it expands to more languages and regions.
The multinational corporation is improving the functionality of its AI Mode, letting users speak their mind and “get things done”. One of these features is letting users find restaurant reservations in their local language. Google’s AI will then ask you the group size, date, location, and preferred cuisine. After a while, it pulls all the relevant results from across the web that match your description.
When asked to locate a restaurant, AI Mode makes use of Google's web-browsing AI agent Project Mariner, its direct partners on Search, and tools like Knowledge Graph and Google Maps. Furthermore, Google is partnering up with companies like Resy, Tock, and OpenTable to include as many restaurants as possible and expedite the booking process.
