Reflecting on his achievements, Akpo stated, “My achievement so far is good in terms of my statistics. I helped my team win the league without any defeat or conceding a goal. I think that will be a record no team can beat again. It will be a record for a lifetime, and I am happy I was part of that wonderful team.”Akpo’s time in the Nigeria Premier Football League, where he played for Wikki Tourists and Gombe United, also holds fond memories.
“My dream team would be to play for Real Madrid or Arsenal. I say Real Madrid because it’s the team I love and support, and Arsenal because my dad was a die-hard fan. I know he always talked about how he would love to see me play at the club someday. Even though he is late, I would be happy to make his dreams come true.”
