Homicide investigators were on the scene Friday afternoon of the discovery of human remains near the Oakland Zoo, authorities said.
OAKLAND — Homicide investigators were called to an area near the Oakland Zoo after human remains were discovered there Friday afternoon, authorities said.
The remains, believed to be those of a man, were found just before 1:15 p.m. Friday on Golf Links Road near Elysian Fields Drive by a man whose goats were doing wildfire fuel mitigation, authorities said.The Alameda County Coroner’s Office was due at the scene to take custody of the remains and attempt to identify the person and the cause of death.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 510-238-3821.
