Leading broadcast company GMA Network was recognized for its anti-piracy efforts at the 2023 Gawad Yamang Isip Awards and Fashion Night held last April 26. ManilaBulletin
The citation was given in recognition of the Network’s contribution to the successful implementation of various anti-piracy initiatives including the anti-piracy symposium last March with the theme “Disrupting the Piracy Ecosystem and Protecting Legal Services,” as well as the anti-piracy videos featuring Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza and the lead cast of the hit live-action adaptation Voltes V: Legacy, among other campaigns.
The Kapuso Network has been at the forefront of the fight against piracy in the Philippines, and its partnership with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines has been instrumental in raising public awareness about the issue.
