According to local telco giant Globe, the company has already logged over 11 million prepaid registrants.Globe hit the 11-million mark today Monday, January 30, 2023, a month after the SIM Registration Act was rolled out.

Those who will fail to register will have a deactivated SIM card that cannot do or accept calls, send or receive messages, have access to the internet, and check load balances. The company also recently provided support for government-led assisted registration in priority sites nationwide from January 25 to 27 with booths in 15 areas and assisted anyone who needed help including PWDs and those who are using basic/feature phones.
