The game of basketball has certainly evolved globally and USA’s loss at the hands of Germany is a testament to that as far as head coach Steve Kerr was concerned.
Kerr believed the world has already caught up to United States' brand of basketball and that it cannot anymore dominate the way it used to be in the past.
USA remained to be the winningest team in the World Cup with five titles – the last of which came in the 2014 edition. “Players are better all over the world, teams are better. It’s not easy to win a World Cup or the Olympics,” said Kerr.
