MELAKA: The state will host the International Recovery Summit (IRS) 2023 here, an event to celebrate and laud the efforts of addiction professionals who assist individuals in their recovery from substance abuse.
Tay Bian How, Asian Metropolitan University director of emeritus addiction studies, said a total of about 70 addiction professionals from the United Kingdom, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia would participate in the three-day summit from May 9 to 11, at a hotel here.
"With the acquired qualifications, they are better positioned to compete with addiction professionals to render quality services," he said.
