PETALING JAYA: Students stranded in campuses may be allowed to return home but strict standard operating procedure (SOP) must be observed, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Senior Minister said the government understood the concerns of parents and students who had been on campuses for about a month.
“We don’t want a lot of movement because imagine if these students start returning to their hometowns, in buses, or stopping over at rest areas. There will be a lot of movement and we want to avoid all that, ” he said. Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said the order to close the Selayang wholesale market was to allow sanitisation work to be done.
