The plans have been scaled down from a previous proposal to build 42 flats.

The outlined proposal is to build 20 residential units and 20 parking spaces on the site, which is written on the application as currently containing "retail units and a public house". If given the go-ahead, this development of one and two-bedroom flats could affect the Wee Man's Bar, Londis, Just Pizza, and former butcher equipment workshop MacNaughton & Son.documents, the plans have been scaled down from a previous proposal of 42 flats to create a more 'aesthetic' site in keeping with the overall appearance of the Gallowgate.
A statement reads:"The site sits on the Gallowgate and remains the only undeveloped site nestling between two modern housing association developments of a quality design. "This street is one of the main arteries out of Glasgow and connects the city centre with the Forge Retail Park."
