GEORGE TOWN: Six books believed to be related to the banned Al-Arqam group have been seized during multiple raids here in the state.
"In the latest development raids have been carried out on four premises owned by the Global Ikhwan Sdn Bhd Holdings network in Penang. "These books are banned under Section 13 of the Syariah Criminal Offences Enactment 1996," he said in a statement on Saturday . "The raids were carried out on Saturday by JHEAIPP with the police, Social Welfare Department, Seberang Perai City Council and other state agencies.
