An autopsy determined that a 13-year-old Texas girl who slipped into a coma after being attacked by two classmates while walking home from school died from a brain tumor doctors discovered in the aftermath of the fight, according to an autopsy report.
Kashala, who was a student at Attucks Middle School in Houston, died on April 17 at Texas Children's Hospital, a week after two classmates jumped her as she walked home from school, her mother, Mamie Jackson, told ABC station KTRK-TV in Houston.In video of the attack, at least one of the girls fighting with Kashala can be heard laughing, Jackson said.
"It's likely going to get referred over to the major assault unit because of the assault incident," Senties said.Jackson said her daughter was jumped about a block from her school.
