Releasing tax returns has grown in significance for the Democratic Party, after President Donald Trump refused to release his during the 2016 campaign. Gillibrand, for her part, has annually released her tax returns and posted them publicly since 2012, and they’re currently available for every year Gillibrand served in public office since she was first elected to the House in 2006.
