Daniel Jones and Andrew Thomas are out Sunday.
But based on reports Sunday, both might return next week against the Jets, who are 3-3 and on their bye this week.
Jones, who hasn’t been cleared for contact, is missing his second straight game. Thomas is missing his sixth straight, as the Giants — losers of four straight — try to improve to 2-5. He got hurt in Week 1 and had a setback before the Week 4 loss to Seattle. One bright spot for the Giants’ banged-up offense: Running back Saquon Barkley is back from a high ankle sprain and performing well. He returned last week in Buffalo, after missing three games. If Jones and Thomas return next week, that’ll mark just the second game this season that the Giants have had Jones, Barkley, and Thomas. It happened in Week 1, but not since.
