GEORGE TOWN: It’s back to school soon and nobody wants a bad hair day.

The Bukhary brothers – Alif, 12, and Aqil, nine – were spotted with a slightly long top and short sides at a barber shop in Bandar Baru Ayer Itam.“They are not allowed to have all those fashionable hairstyles, with lines on the sides.Parthiben Ramachandran, 14, said he was happy to maintain his side burns.

“I like the barber as he is very skilful, especially in using the razor, ” said Parthiben, who came with his brother Yahadewan, 10, and father Ramachandran S. Paramal, 45.“Normally, we’ll give them the standard haircut, shorter on the sides and back unless they have specific requests.Schools will reopen in all states on Jan 2 and a day earlier in Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
