Para klerus mendoakan para peserta perhimpunan pastoral vikariat di Gereja Our Lady of Guadalupe, Krubong.“Dari Aggiornamento 1976, kini kita memasuki lembaran baru dalam sejarah Gereja Malaysia,” kata Uskup Bernard Paul berkata dalam ucapan pembukaannya sempena perhimpunan pastoral vikariat pada Jun 5. Pesan prelatus itu digemakan serentak di tiga vikariat.
“Gereja akan beralih menjadi Konvensi pastoral Malaysia atau MPC yang benar-benar Malaysia pada tahun 2026. Bermula sekarang, Sabah dan Sarawak juga akan mengambil bahagian dalam perbincangan dan kebijaksanaan,” Matlamatnya adalah supaya kita, sebagai Gereja, membina Persekutuan Keluarga sambil berusaha menjadi Kreatif, Inklusif, Membangun Jambatan, Berwawasan dan Misionari dan yang paling penting, untuk melangkah bersama ke hadapan sebagai ‘rasul Harapan.’
Tim ini akan menganalisis dan mencadangkan tindak balas pastoral di Perhimpunan Pastoral Keuskupan pada Oktober 14 tahun ini.
