Georgia motorcyclist flees cops, posts chase video to TikTok, gets arrested.
According to the Clayton County Police Department, Georgia State Police pursued the Triumph through Henry and Clayton counties before losing contact with the speeder. Following the chase, Lieutenant Reimers of Clayton County began to scour social media for evidence of the crime being shared online. That’s when the officer came across footage that appeared to show the chase from the rider’s perspective.
The rider in question appeared to use the post to try and explain to viewers why the cops were actually at fault in this situation. "No Siren, on the emergency lane, no way IK [I know] he’s trying to pull me over," the motorcyclist wrote in a TikTok video."Putting more people in danger than what I did. I just matched his energy, be mad if you want."
Authorities say they were able to track down the rider because only one Triple RS was registered to a local owner at the time of the chase. Police also noted that this particular bike had been significantly modified. A deeper dive into the suspect’s social media pages showed images of the bike at their residence, information that Reimers turned over to the State Police.
During that December 14th visit, the suspect admitted to police that they were involved in the chase, police say.
