Auburn is set to host the two-time defending national champions on Sept. 30 for this year's edition of the 'Deep South's Oldest Rivalry'.
Fortunately for first-year head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers, they won’t be taking on Kirby Smart and the two-time defending national champion Bulldogs alone.when Auburn also announced it had sold out of season tickets, selling a program record of 63,500 season tickets.
The Tigers and Bulldogs first met way back in 1892 and have played 118 game since. Georgia is 63-56 against Auburn and has won the last six meetings. The Tigers are 1-9 against the Bulldogs in the last 10 meetings. Auburn will have an opportunity to snap its six-game losing streak on Sept. 30 at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where Georgia holds an 18-12-2 record.
