Does Fort Worth ever cross his mind? Apparently so.After Strait announced his retirement from touring in 2014, he sealed it with a sold-out The Cowboy Rides Away concert at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Or so we thought.
Strait packed them in during the 2019 concerts, too, playing to capacity crowds of 14,000 each night. “Don’t think for a minute that I’m gonna sit around and sing some sad old song,” he sang in the rollicking, ‘60s pop-influenced “Here For A Good Time.” “To hell with the red wine, pour me some moonshine.”
Tenille Townes, a country singer-songwriter who has opened for Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town and Strait, will take the opening slot for both upcoming shows in Fort Worth.. I've been living, working and playing in Dallas forever, but things are always changing. There's always a new to try and I want to! I like old school Tex-Mex, Cosmopolitans, the State Fair and the view of downtown from White Rock Lake.
