President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed General Andres Centino as chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, according to the Presidential Communications Office.Centino already served as AFP's chief of staff under then President Rodrigo Duterte from November 12, 2021, to August 8, 2022.
During his stint before, Centino implemented four major thrusts within the Philippine military including operational efficiency, optimal use of resources, advancement of professionalism and meritocracy within the organization, and capability development.
