KUALA LUMPUR: Preparations for the 15th General Election (GE15) have been discussed in detail during a meeting with other Barisan Nasional leaders, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said he attended the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council Meeting at the WTC on Tuesday night chaired by Barisan chairman and Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"The meeting went on for more than two hours as we discussed the preparations for GE15 in depth. All the top leaders of the Barisan component parties were present at the meeting," he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday night . Dr Wee said among the leaders present were caretaker Prime Minister and Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Barisan Nasional deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

He added that the coalition's treasurer-general Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir were also present. Dr Wee also said that the meeting was attended by MCA Deputy President Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, MIC Deputy President Datuk Seri M. Saravanan and MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon among other Barisan leaders, including Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah president Tan Sri Joseph Kurup.
