IPOH: Barisan Nasional in Perak is on standby to provide assistance to voters on polling day in the form of transportation for them, especially in flood-hit areas.
Perak Umno Youth chief Datuk Mohd Ariff Abdul Majid, who is heading the general election team in Perak, said the floods in the state were not as critical as what usually happens in Terengganu and Kelantan during the monsoon period.
"At each division of the party especially, we have a squad handling matters pertaining to transportation. Mohd Ariff said his team has also identified people that may be requiring assistance in terms of transportation."Voters who require our assistance will get to hop on the vehicles and be brought to the polling stations without any charge,” he added.
