Nomination day for the 15th General Election is underway across 222 parliamentary constituencies in the country.
While political parties have been announcing their candidates over the past week, it all boils down to today, whether or not their nomination papers are accepted by the Election Commission and if there are anymore individuals springing surprise nominations. The nomination kicked off at 9am and eyes are on several hot seats such as Sungai Buloh, Batu, Rembau and Tambun.
9.40am: At this point it is unclear if celebrity Azwan Ali will stand as an independent candidate in Gombak.
