MARANG: Political leaders who declare their assets during the campaign period are only showing off their wealth, says Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.
The PAS president said there was no point in declaring assets during the campaign period as voters should know their candidates by now."What is it that we want to show to the public? We want to show that we are good people," Hadi told reporters after delivering his morning sermon here on Friday ."We are not wealthy. Others are declaring millions. Ours are only hundreds of thousands, not millions. There's no need to declare," he said.
He added that all PAS leaders were clean and free of corruption as none of them had been dragged to court when they were ruling Terengganu, Kelantan and Kedah.Article type: free
