Gaza school attack decried

PARIS (Reuters) -Hollywood's top gun Tom Cruise rappelled from the roof of the Stade de France into the Paris Games closing ceremony on Sunday before speeding off with the Olympic flag in a dramatic handover that began the countdown to the Los Angeles Games in 2028.

PETALING JAYA: Israel’s aggression should no longer be tolerated by the world after its latest attack on a school in Gaza City, said Wisma Putra .

“Israel has clearly shown once again that it has no desire for peace. It is unconscionable for the international community to just stand by when the Israeli occupying force continues killing women, children and the elderly, without consequences,” said Wisma Putra. “Malaysia continues to call for Israel’s allies to compel Israel to immediately stop the killings of innocent Palestinians, and stop providing Israel with the tools to continue this genocide.

In a separate statement, Wisma Putra said Malaysia welcomed the Aug 8 joint statement by the United States, Egypt and Qatar, highlighting the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza.
