Four-time Grammy Award-winning Austin native Gary Clark Jr. will take the stage at Longhorn City Limits on Oct. 28.
Live music will begin at 11 a.m., and Clark will hit the stage on the University of Texas at Austin's LBJ Lawn at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. A supporting artist will be announced at a later date,"When the Longhorn City Limits concept was born, Gary Clark Jr. was immediately an artist we identified as a perfect fit," said Chris Del Conte, UT's vice president and athletics director.
To date, Clark has six Grammy Award nominations and four wins. He has topped bills at festivals and major venues, shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, performed at the White House and played on numerous national TV shows. He is currently working on a follow-up to his most recent album, 2019's"This Land.
Tito's Tailgate will also return for a second consecutive season, located in front of the LBJ Fountain. The location will offer Tito's cocktails on tap. Longhorn City Limits attendees can also enjoy Stubb's BBQ and pregame happy hour pricing for select beers.
