RALEIGH: American golfer Robert Garrigus has been suspended for three months by the PGA Tour after testing positive for marijuana. Garrigus, who has spoken about overcoming addiction to play on the tour, confirmed on his Twitter account on Friday that he had been suspended. “After a long period of sobriety, I had a relapse and subsequently failed a drug test for marijuana,” he wrote.

He added, while marijuana is legal in a number of US states, it does not “mean there aren’t potentially severe consequences if you use it.”The Phoenix resident has played in seven tournaments during the 2018-19 season, tying for 20th in the Sanderson Farms Championship.
