Gardai were alerted to shocking Instagram posts
in which a person claimed they had “knives out” for Simon Harris .

The threat is understood to have remained online for two days after gardai asked Instagram to remove it. The user behind the account has since made their page private.
It is the latest threat made against Mr Harris - who has had protestors outside his home and a bomb threat made against him. A Garda spokesperson confirmed the matter is under investigation. Mr Harris’s spokesperson said he cannot comment on matters relating to the Taoiseach’s security.
