Where is Ailbhe Davoren from? Ailbhe hails from Moycullen in Galway but currently lives in Monkstown, Dublin for work.Day job Ailbhe works as a secondary school teacher in St. Andrew's College in Dublin. She feels the time off she gets in the summer is beneficial when it comes to playing inter-county football as she doesn't have to constantly commute between Dublin and Galway.
"Even just having extra time to look at extra shooting or whatever, it's just brilliant. I think there's enough inter-county players that are teachers and it does suit the inter-county." And football isn't the only sport the talented athlete plays. She is also a dab hand at camogie, playing for Galway club Maigh Cuilinn, and is part of the Raiders basketball team in Killiney, South Dublin.
