During a news conference Tuesday, Galveston police said Birca and Gudobski had both attended the same Christmas party before their deaths, and were believed to have purchased cocaine from Miller. Both men had a plastic bags decorated with cartoon pandas when police searched their bodies, Galveston Police Department spokesman Sgt. Derek Gaspard said.
The Galveston Police Department worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration to investigate the deaths and the drugs connected to them, officials said.
