A new leadership board for the Nasarawa State Football Association has been elected, with Usman Salisu Galadima, popularly known as 'Basira,' emerging as the board's Chairman. The election results were announced by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Barr.

Haruna Favour Iliyasu, at the Keffi Local Government Area Secretariat, where the election took place on Saturday. Galadima secured 12 votes out of 18, defeating his closest rival, Haliru Ibrahim, known as 'Zee,' who received four votes. Two votes were considered invalid due to additional or surplus entries by voters on the ballot sheets. Ibrahim Adamu Shigafarta was elected Vice Chairman, garnering 16 votes against Aliyu Zanwa.

Isaac Danladi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, represented the state government and congratulated the new Chairman, the Board members, and all the contestants. He encouraged both winners and losers to work together for the development of football in the state. The representative of the Nigeria Football Federation's President, Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan, praised the transparency and success of the election process.
