Local sources say the property is in contention to upstage big-hitter Bondi, whose residential record stands with the $29 million sale of gambling tycoon James Packer’s famedThe property is also a strong contender to outdo Tamarama’s $29.2 million eastern beaches building record set when socialite Di Maloney picked up an oceanfront block of five apartments last May.
