Fully digital TV broadcast by year’s 3rd quarter

South Korea’s terrestrial TV networks go off the air, marking a full transition from analogue to superior digital broadcast, according to schedule, in 2012. Malaysia hopes to achieve the same this year. – EPA pic, April 2, 2019.

THE government is confident of switching off analogue television broadcast by the year’s third quarter for a full transition to a digital broadcast system. Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo said migration from analogue to digital will start this month.
