PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 petrol will go down three sen per litre beginning Saturday (Jan 11) until Jan 17.The Finance Ministry said the price of RON97 would be priced at RM2.62 per litre, down from RM2.65 for one week.
PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 petrol will go down three sen per litre beginning Saturday until Jan 17.
The Finance Ministry said RON97 petrol would be priced at RM2.62 per litre, down from RM2.65, for one week."Based on the calculation under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism , the retail prices for both RON95 and diesel should be RM2.32 and RM2.46 per litre respectively," it said in a statement on Friday .
It added that the estimated subsidy to be borne by the government between Jan 11 and Jan 17 would be about RM122.85mil.Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
