PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will drop across the board at midnight for the sixth consecutive week, the finance ministry announced this evening.

RON95 and RON97 will drop by five sen, retailing at RM1.25 per litre and RM1.55 per litre respectively. The new rates will be in effect from tomorrow till April 17. According to the finance ministry, the drop in fuel prices is due to the decline in global crude oil prices following economic uncertainty because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people,” it added.
